Nothing without Tom Hardy First of all, if it wasn’t for Tom Hardy, I wouldn’t recommend this film at all. This was a real disappointment. I have always been fascinated by the Krays and think that Tom Hardy is one of the greatest action actors of today. I first saw him in the TV adaptation of Martina Cole’s The Take. His performance here is a real reminder of how good he is in the London crime arena.Sad thing is that they could have done so much more with this film. The story didn’t go far…

Huge disappointment… The only reason I’m giving this two stars instead of one is because of Tom Hardy’s performances. He does such an amazing job as both brothers. You can tell they are completely different people with their own distinct personalities. The rest of the movie is a mess. The tone of the movie just doesn’t work. The cliche of the woman who marries a gangster and lives to regret it is just so badly done. Most of the other characters are so one note that you can’t even feel anything for them…
