A skeptic at first, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance, I loved it! For starters, I’m a SUPER FAN of the 1959 William Wyler, starring Charleston Heston, “BEN-HUR: A Tale of the Christ”. Totally Underated for this generation! The history of Ben-Hur runs rich and deep. Why it’s not more popular or has better reviews is beyond me. The rewrite is completely contemporary for this storytelling in this generation. I’m in my 30’s and enjoy old movies. We were required to watch Ben-Hur 1959 in high school.
